A parallel panel of judges, equally authoritative, will evaluate the works
of Researchers Category.
A scientific committee will award the Lifetime Achievement Award,
which may also be a memorial one.

John L. Walters is editor and co-owner of both Eye magazine and Pulp for the Italian
paper company Fedrigoni. He founded the group Landscape (landscape.band) and
worked as a composer/record producer before launching the music magazine
Unknown Public with Laurence Aston. For five years he has been a columnist for the
music section of The Guardian. Walters is the author of Alan Kitching: A Life in
Letterpress (2016) and he has won three ‘Editor of the Year’ BSME (British Society of
Magazine Editors) awards. He has been an editor for Eye since 1999.

Cinzia Ferrara, architect and graphic designer, is associate professor at Department
of Architecture in the University of Palermo, where she is researcher in the field of
visual communication. Actually is Delegate for the Visual Communication of the

she writes on visual communication, teaches and holds lectures at international
conferences and several Italian universities and design schools.

Marta Bernstein is a designer, researcher and teacher, currently Creative Director at
Studio Matthews (Seattle USA). She has a decade of experience in developing
multimedia identities, designing exhibitions and wayfinding systems. Type and

has a soft spot for 19th-century type, a topic she has been researching and

Graphic Designer and historian
Dario Carta (1977) is a graphic designer and historian. After pursuing humanistic
studies (a Master’s Degree in Contemporary History and a PhD in Cultural
Anthropology), he founded the independent studio #cartadesign, which works with
historical institutes, cultural foundations and public administrations.
The Studio focuses on cultural projects, among which the design of visual systems
for historical, documentary and art exhibitions. At the same time, the Studio
specializes in editorial projects. For some years, the Studio has been working on

Laura Moretti is a visual communication designer and the owner of the studio that
bears her name. In addition to her professional activity, she has been pursuing
